Sea Island Halloween Masquerade Party | October 31, 2026

We are thrilled to share that Seaside has officially reopened after a course restoration!

The restoration honors the course’s architectural heritage while enhancing its playability for everyday golfers and sharpening its competitive edge for tournament play. Led by Love Golf Design in collaboration with MacCurrach Golf Construction, Inc., the project included full turf replacement, improved infrastructure, restored dunes, and other carefully considered strategic refinements.

Seaside brings together nearly a century of course design history. Renowned golf course architects, Harry C**t and Charles Alison, created the original nine holes in 1928. Today, those same holes are the back nine of Seaside. In 1999, Tom Fazio expanded the course to the 18 holes golfers know today. Love Golf Design’s latest work was guided by a commitment to preserve the course’s character while making adaptations for the evolving game and preparing the course for decades of play ahead.

Seaside reopened with a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, October 15, followed by a weekend of play exclusively for our Sea Island Club members and touring pros.

The result respects what Tom Fazio originally created — his masterpiece, restored and rebuilt from the ground up, with the wind, the water, and the wide, open views that have defined Seaside for generations exactly as you remember them.
