Meet Heather Hopper, Bartender and Waitstaf
Heather Hopper — watercolor artist, deadicated Phish phan from the early 90's, and someone who feels like the luckiest human alive when living her best life alongside her souldog, the magnificent Miss Maggie Eastwood.
After nearly three decades in the high country of Colorado, Heather followed her compass back Northeast to be close to her Mum. Her love for Maine runs deep and long, rooted in summers spent at the family Camp in the Rangeley lakes region, where the water is cold, the loons are loud, the black flies are relentless, the quiet moments and starry skies unparalleled — and the gravity of Maine’s magic has never let go.
She brings hospitality experience deep enough to have its own weather system, an artist’s eye for detail, and is the rare sort who can find levity in the weeds, coupled with her positive mindset and skills from being a soccer player, Captain and coach to rally and uplift her team, and along with convincing guests they found the best open secret in Midcoast Maine.
When not slinging drinks and serving tasty deliciousness with a smile and a light touch of Scorpio sass, you’ll find her carving out time to paint, communing with water and nature and fascinated by dragonflies and flowers. She relishes in outdoor adventures, daydreams of island time in Hawaii and losing herself in the desert. She delights in boogie'n down and finding her groove at concerts and catching live sports action. She covets laughing until it hurts with people she loves and settling into the kind of deep, meaningful conversations that make you forget what time it is. She strives to pursue all things joyful that nourish her soul and invite her to be the greatest version of herself especially with her Sun, Moon and Stars beside her, her favorite partner in crime Miss Maggie E.
She is grateful to have found her place as a new addition to the Homeport family and to have returned to “the way life should be.”
