Some white melamine bathroom fittings were past their best so the customer wanted them replaced with white oak.

The door had to be made twice (remember the warped oak - that became the shelves) and it took me 2 attempts to get the hinges right but they came out nice

Oh dear - metal shavings are never good in a tool.

The miter saw started rattling badly today so we took it apart and found that the brass bushing had worn somehow. So the blade was loose.

Thankfully an easy fix to replace the bushing but we don't know what happened - we have multiple of these saws and have not seen this before.

And finally the 'easy' part - the pot rack innards are in and another project is ready for finish

Sometimes wood doesn't behave. This is supposed to be a solid white oak cabinet door. It was sanded and ready to go but while I was on vacation it decided to warp.

I tried wetting and clamping but clearly this is the shape it wants to be.

The door will be remade and this will be recycled into cutting boards as punishment

The curvey shelves are finally done. The vertical pieces will be replaced with glass and they will be finished at home.....
