This week we had the absolute honor of celebrating Eric’s 8-year work anniversary here at the Quality Inn & Suites Sequim.
Eric—better known around here as “Chef Eric”—has been a cornerstone of our breakfast team, bringing consistency, pride, and a smile that sets the tone for our guests every single morning. Watching his growth over the years has been nothing short of incredible.
We are proud to partner with Morningside, a local organization that provides employment opportunities and coaching for individuals with disabilities, helping them build meaningful careers and independence. This partnership has not only strengthened our team—it has shaped our culture. It’s made us better.
Through this work, our property has been recognized at the state level, including honors from the Washington Governor’s Committee on Disability Issues & Employment, celebrating inclusive workplaces that truly invest in their people.
But awards aside—this is about people.
Eric has Mild Down syndrome, and what he brings to our hotel goes far beyond his role. He brings heart. He brings dedication. He brings joy. His promotion to “Chef Eric” wasn’t just a title—it was something he earned through years of hard work, reliability, and the pride he takes in what he does.
We couldn’t be more proud to have him as part of our team.
Here’s to 8 amazing years, Chef Eric—and many more to come. 👏💙
