Perhaps one of the most popular falls in the Blue Ridge, Linville Falls flows over multiple breathtaking cascades and drops a total of 90 feet into the Linville Gorge.

In our roundup of the Best Hikes for Every Season (link in bio), we suggest the Erwin's View Trail at Linville Falls as an excellent choice for a winter hike in the Boone area, when the trails are less crowded and views are even more expansive than usual.

Grandfather Mountain is right across the street.

Nature put on quite a show during Saturday's "Sunset at the Swinging Bridge," treating those in attendance to some stunning, after-hours views from atop Grandfather! It was a pretty spectacular way to wrap up a beautiful day on the mountain.
