Don’t miss this summer’s Food Truck Rodeos at 5506’! Take a scenic lift ride to the summit and enjoy an evening filled with music by DJ Raheim Andrews, multiple food trucks, games, sunset views, and drinks from Claudia’s Authentic Mexican Food Restaurant & Full Bar.

Ride the lift back down at the end of the night or stay awhile and enjoy the mountain air as the evening winds down. Events run from 5–8 PM and were so popular last year that we’re bringing them back once a month all summer long.

Come hungry, bring your friends, and spend your summer evenings at 5506’.

Great news! Land of Oz reopens this year for Autumn at Oz in September and a new immersive experience in June. More details to come! These events will be held at the remains of the former amusement park atop Beech Mtn, NC, that operated 1970-1980. There were no events there in 2025. Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Wizard. Get your costumes ready! Your favorite Oz characters and songs return for a homecoming.
