Sunday, July 13th! The annual Shelburne Falls Porch Music Festival features local musicians on local porches. We are happy to support this celebration of community, music, and creativity and hope to see you there!

Thank you to everyone who visited Santa's Workshop at the Masonic Building last night! It's such a pleasure to welcome families to share in the holiday spirit with us.

Thank you to all the elves and volunteers who transformed (and cleaned up) the space, and distributed and lit all the candles that blanket our village in flickers of magic! & thank you to everyone behind Moonlight Magic Shelburne Falls - what a great crew!

If you've visited the beautiful Arms Cemetery in Shelburne Falls, you've likely noticed many prominent monuments with those curious symbols on them...

On June 28th at 7 PM, local Freemasons will be taking a tour of the cemetery to view and appreciate these grave markers and share some stories of departed brothers. We welcome friends, families and interested members of the public to join us.

Arms Cemetery was established by Major Ira Arms, himself a Freemason, in 1856. This happens to be the same year Mountain Lodge of Masons was reorganized in Shelburne Falls. The cemetery features dozens of impressive monuments featuring masonic symbols and one Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts is buried there, Most Worshipful Joseph E. Perry.

Feel free to join us for an interesting stroll through history and this gem of a cemetery.

Pictured here is the grave of Brother George W. Halligan (1861-1931), a bookkeeper from Buckland. We look forward to seeing what we can in the archives about this departed brother...

Our hearts are breaking with everyone who is hurting today, everyone who is impacted by the tragedy in Texas, the tragedy in Buffalo and too many other recent violent manifestations of hate.

We are a Fraternity of Brotherly Love, and while we strictly avoid partisan politics, which too often divide, we must ALL stand for Love and treat each other as family.

By the exercise of Brotherly Love we are taught to regard the whole human species as one family; who, as created by one Almighty Parent, and inhabitants of the same planet, are to aid, support and protect each other.

To relieve the distressed is a duty incumbent on all people, but particularly on Masons, who, profess to be linked together by an indissoluble chain of sincere affection.

To sooth the unhappy, sympathize with their misfortunes, compassionate their miseries and restore peace to their troubled minds is the grant aim we have in view.

Let us love one another, especially in these most difficult times.

The community ice skating rink is open! Thanks to Dr. Stefan Topolski!

Grab a helmet and skates and head to 111 Bridge Street, Shelburne Falls, where the Ice is ready for a little skate. What a great place to learn to skate!
Conditions change daily. Evening skating is also welcome.
