Nestled at the base of the Sierra Buttes whose rocky peaks tower 8,600 feet, Herrington's Sierra Pines Resort is located in historic Sierra City. Founded in 1850 and once a booming mining town, Sierra City has become a popular tourist area. Splendid scenery abounds as the beautiful Yuba River meanders for a third of a mile through the resort property. The Resort maintains private walking trails where you will find picnic tables and chairs placed along the river for our guests' relaxation.

Trout have arrived! We recently got our yearly trout pond restock from Mt. Lassen Trout Farm. They are looking big, healthy, and ready for you to come fish.

Fun fact: all the trout in the pond are female and bred sterile so that they cannot be mixed with trout in the Yuba. If you want to see some past catches, scroll on👀🎣
