Families often opt for our three-queen-bed, two-full-room Covered Bridges Suite for a stay so spacious and comfortable, it feels like a home away from home.

Why do we call it Covered Bridges? Before bridges were built across Silver Creek, farmers waded their crops through fords—primarily near Mac's Place—to reach town, prompting the construction of Douglas fir-covered bridges that could withstand harsh winter weather.

Before there were bridges over Silver Creek there were three different areas where the creek could be forded. This is our two-bed GeerCrest Room. In 1847, the Geer family joined Joel Palmer’s wagon train to travel the newly opened Barlow Trail and settle near present-day Silverton, Oregon. 🏊‍♂️
