The team took time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. Their courage and dedication were recognized with gratitude and reflection as team members paused to remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy today.

The team celebrated Employee Appreciation Week with Casey's breakfast pizza in the break room. It was a simple but meaningful way to thank team members for their hard work, dedication, and the positive impact they make every day. Good food and great people made for a wonderful start to the day.

Celebrating Milestones 🎉🐓
Two special anniversaries were celebrated as Gita Rai marked 10 years and Hari Monger celebrated 12 years with the team. To recognize their dedication and years of service, everyone gathered to enjoy Slim Chickens together and celebrate these remarkable milestones. Congratulations to both on their continued success and contributions!

Meet Bryan Ahlers.

Bryan is a seasoned hospitality leader with nearly two decades of experience across major brands including Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Choice Hotels, and Best Western. With a strong foundation in both operations and sales, his career has centered on bringing teams together to drive results through collaboration, strategy, and consistency. ✨

A graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University, he holds degrees in Business Administration and Hospitality Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Outside of work, Bryan is an avid runner and proud dog dad to three Boston Terrier rescues.

One of his favorite KAJ memories? An annual conference in Deadwood, SD, even more memorable with a stay in a “haunted” hotel 👻

And when it comes to people, Bryan focuses on helping leaders succeed by building strategies, achieving goals, and celebrating wins together as one team.

Leading the charge is Drill Sergeant Barb, making sure everything runs sharp, focused, and done the right way from the very start 💪😄

A mix of learning, teamwork, and a little bit of fun along the way, setting the tone for strong habits and even stronger kitchen standards.

Hotel of the Year Awards Celebration - Grand Forks 🏆🎉

The Grand Forks team came together to celebrate the Hotel of the Year Awards, recognizing the dedication, passion, and teamwork shown across the entire hotel every single day.

A special shoutout goes to the housekeeping team, led by Angelica Lindquist, who proudly brought home two out of the three awards received, an incredible achievement that reflects strong leadership and a team that consistently shows up and delivers. Their hard work behind the scenes, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence continue to be the heart of the guest experience every day.

Big appreciation also goes out to Anthony Nasello for making the trip up to celebrate, bringing along a fun bingo session and plenty of laughs that added to the day’s energy.

We’re excited to officially share the refreshed new look at Home2 Gillette! From updated suites and kitchens to refreshed gathering spaces, breakfast area, and fitness center, the renovation has transformed the guest experience throughout the hotel.

A huge thank you to the team for their patience, flexibility, and hard work throughout the renovation process. Renovations are never easy while continuing to care for guests every day, and this team handled it with positivity and dedication.

We can’t wait for guests and the rest of the KAJ team to see the transformation! 👏
