AmericInn Sioux Falls North is looking to hire enthusiastic Front Desk Agents and/or Night Auditors. As a Guest Services Agent, you would be responsible for greeting, checking guests in and out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Availability to work weekends and holidays is definite plus. Full & Part Time positions are available as well as flexible schedules.

Night Auditor Responsibilities:

- Include all the responsibilities of a regular front desk agent as shown below.
- Perform clerical duties for the preparation of nightly reports.
- Perform all Night Auditor duties in accordance with the Company policies and procedures.
- Record and audit each guest folio and check and verify that all charges have been accurately recorded on each and every guest folio for each room rented at the hotel. These charges include, but are not limited to room charges and any miscellaneous charges such as vending revenue, meeting room revenue, pet fees etc.
- Verify that the day's credit card settlement equals the General Managers’ property management system report.
- Verify that the total credit card charges have been settled with the credit card processor.
- Balance the reports and have them ready for the General Manager in a neatly assembled order.
- Assist with setting up of breakfast items when needed.
- Make coffee; supply and clean coffee bar/great room area. Restock and clean pantry/marketplace as a guest amenity.
Keep all entry ways free of snow, ice and debris.

Front Desk Responsibilities:

- Greet guests and complete the registration process to include, but not limited to, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet and ensuring guest knows location of room and hotel amenities.
- Assist guests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording transactions.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of, and answer guest questions and inquiries about hotel information.
- Demonstrate general knowledge of the local area, local activities and events.
- Clean lobby area to maintain a clean, neat, and professional atmosphere.

Experience:

- Previous hotel front desk experience is required.
- Previous hotel front night audit experience is a definite plus.
- Familiarity with the AmericInn Sabre Property Hub system is a definite plus.
- Communication skills in working with guests, managers, and other personnel.
Computer and typing skills are a definite plus.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Have the ability to speak and understand the English language.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms heights up to 72 inches.
- Have the ability to walk up and down stairs, bend to the floor, lift, push and pull weights up to 50 pounds.
- On occasion lift and shovel snow weights up to 20 pounds.

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions.

Requirements:

- Clean guest rooms and common areas thoroughly and with attention to detail.
- Uphold the hotel’s and brand’s standards of operations and service score expectations.
- Follow hotel’s standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with stripping rooms and trash removal.
- Assist guests with any miscellaneous requests with a sense of urgency.
- Must be able to work independently as well as with others.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is a definite plus.

Physical Demands:

- Stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
- Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent stooping, kneeling, reaching.
- Lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
