Greatful to our cabin guests for another year of firewood (honor system) donations. We were able to provide Warrior Dogs $300 ($263 and we rounded up) this year through the support of our cabin guests. Thank you! Every soldier deserves a good retirement after they serviced our country - including those with 4 legs.

We are delighted to now be offering our 2 luxury cabins through Book Hocking. We wanted to ensure our guests receive the same level of service with a management company as they have always received. We believe that Book Hocking is the perfect fit for our guests.

Yesterday when coming home for an appointment, a very large tree fell onto the road and blocked traffic. Cars were getting by until someone got stuck in the mud. So what does a gal do who was raised on a farm and has two remote cabins? She drives up, parks her 4runner, gets out in the pouring rain, determines there’s no electrical concerns, and starts pulling limbs and branches off the road. A few other people (and when I say few, I mean three) get out of their vehicles and start helping, one of which pulls up in a truck ties a rope around the largest branch and backs ‘er out. Then she explains to the woman in the stuck vehicle how to put her vehicle in 4 wheel low and get unstuck. After the road is partially cleared and cars are getting by, a cop shows up and pulls out a flare. 🙄As I get back to my vehicle and start to move past the tree, the woman and the stuck vehicle pulls out slowly and gets on her way. I gave her couple horn t***s, and a thumbs up. She waves back and we’re on our way. Crisis averted.

Thank you to all our cabin guests! We collected $190 since July 2022. We upped the donation by $10 to make it an even $200. We love our Warrior Dogs!

Hi folks! Just so you know it’s that time of year at the cabins: Stink Bugs!

Ewwww!

We do have the cabin sprayed but those little suckers don’t seem to care. Please know although they look nasty, they are harmless. In fact, they are very stupid bugs.
