Happy Anniversary to a special part of our SSDC family, Rick & Jacque 🫶

It’s hard to put into words just how much the two of you mean to SSDC. What you have built together goes way beyond a summer at camp. You have created a family, a community, and a place that has given so many people memories, friendships, and a feeling of belonging that they carry with them forever

The impact you have had on SSDC and on the people who have been lucky enough to be a part of it is absolutely incredible. So much of what makes camp feel like home comes from the love, time, and heart that you have poured into it over the years

Wishing you both a very happy anniversary and many more years of love, laughter, and memories together. We love you, and we are so grateful for the family you have created and the lasting mark you have left on us all 🦉💛🤎

In the blink of an eye summer has come to an end for so many of us. For those of you starting your new adventure tomorrow, remember all the good times you had this summer. The deep water test you passed, the zipline experience over Lake Daniel, the Wobble on repeat, the All Star game you won, and the cinnamon snails you made in Hampy’s Kitchen. But most importantly, don’t forget to tell everyone about all the memories you made this summer! You truly cannot experience those moments with anyone else other than your summer besties. From the outside looking in, you could never understand. From the inside looking out, you could never explain . We love you❤️ And remember….. 295 days will be here sooner than you think!🤎💛

The truth about summer? It flies by. For 53 years, Southampton Summer Day Camp has been a place where memories are made, friendships begin, families grow, and generations return year after year. There have been smiles, tears, hugs, laughs, and competition that we’ll carry with us long after summer ends. Every summer tells a different story. And this summer was one we will hold especially close to our hearts❤️

From the first day of camp to the last day, every moment became a little piece of our Southampton story. Celebrating 30 years of Hampy & Honey made this summer even more meaningful; a beautiful reminder of just how much history, tradition, love, and magic live within these grounds. 🦉🤎💛

To our campers: thank you for filling our summer with your laughter, your energy, your smiles, and your incredible spirit. To our families: thank you for trusting us with your most precious gift and allowing us to be a small part of their childhood memories. And to our staff: thank you for giving so much of yourselves to make every day feel like something special🫶

Hold your camp friends a little tighter. Keep those camp pictures. Save the silly videos. Remember the songs, the cheers, the competitions, the inside jokes, the hugs, and all those little moments you never realized would become the memories you treasure most.

While our 2026 summer may be over, the story of Southampton is far from finished. We’re already dreaming, planning, and counting down to everything that’s waiting for us next year.

There are so many things that make summer what it is at SSDC! Campers, counselors, and activities are what make us keep coming back summer after summer and we truly couldn’t do it without all of you. It’s the tradition that will always hold us together 💛🤎💜

Our CIT/LITs escaped the unthinkable yesterday as they conquered their last trip of the summer!! Escape rooms were a hit and we can’t wait for next summer to make more memories outside of camp with our amazing teens!! 🤎💛
