Harbor View Motel and Cottages

The Harbor View Motel and Cottages is located in beautiful Southwest Harbor Maine and offers afforda Some of the rooms are pet friendly, for a small fee.

The Harbor View Motel and Cottages offers 18 motel units, 8 of which have decks directly overlooking the harbor, while another 5 have decks with views of the harbor. There are also 3 efficiencies that are fully equipped and also have direct views of the ocean. There are 7 fully equipped cottages, which sleep one to six people. All the cottages include a deck and views of the harbor. It is a short walk from the motel to the village, where one can enjoy the shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes.

Cottage 19 is open for a week starting June 6th. This cottage has a lot to offer including a wrap around deck, spacious living and dining room and two bedrooms. Great view of the harbor as well. Book online or call the office at 207 244 3828 if interested.

Things don't happen too fast here at the Harbor View Motel...after almost 40 years we have some amazing new stairs. Lol J&B Builders did a great job as usual. Here is the progression over the years.

Joe and Lorraine Saunders bought the Harbor View Motel in 1967 from Les White. Here is an old brochure from Les White's time...also a couple of old postcards from the 70's.

It's been a long winter for sure, but now would be a great time to visit Acadia. Whether it be hiking, cross-country skiing, ice fishing or snowmobiling...there's plenty of snow to indulge in all your favorite outdoor activities. Thank you to our awesome crew this year. It was busy and hectic but they all persevered and created a great experience for our guests. We will miss Iva, Minja, and Milica, but so thankful you were able to come here and be a part of our family.

Now is a great time to visit Southwest Harbor... a lot of great restaurants, hikes, plus the weather is perfect, and you never know, you just might find that pot of gold you've been looking for.
