🚨✈️ IMPORTANT TRAVEL UPDATE FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS 🇺🇸

Beginning November 3, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST, ALL passengers boarding an international flight to the United States will have a new CDC requirement.

👉 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Before boarding your flight to the U.S., you must confirm that you have NOT been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) during the previous 21 days.

This applies to everyone — including:

✅ U.S. citizens
✅ Green Card holders
✅ International visitors
✅ Adults and children
✅ Passengers simply connecting through the United States

✈️ For most travelers, this should be very simple.

Your airline is responsible for collecting the attestation. Depending on the airline, it may appear:

📱 During online/mobile check-in
☑️ As an electronic checkbox
✍️ As a digital attestation
📄 As a paper form at the airport

You do NOT necessarily need to print the CDC form before traveling.

The important thing to understand is that this is an official attestation — not simply a verbal “yes or no” question from the check-in agent.

⚠️ WHAT IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO THE DRC?

If you have been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the previous 21 days — including connecting through a DRC airport even if you never left the airplane or airport — you generally will not be allowed to board a flight to the United States until Day 22, unless you have a U.S. Government exemption.

🌎 For the vast majority of international travelers who have not been to the DRC, expect this to simply be one additional step during airline check-in.

💡 TRAVEL TIP: There is no need to panic or change your travel plans simply because you’re traveling internationally. Just be aware of the new requirement before your return flight to the United States.
