Our organization entered the hotel business in 1999 with the purchase of the Baymont Inn & Suites in Champaign, IL, a 96-room property that we have recently renovated. Accommodations also include your choice of 2-room king whirl
pool bath suites, king leisure suites, or double queen standard rooms. Guests also enjoy complimentary extended continental breakfast each morning, as well as a backyard BBQ area, complete with horseshoes & picnic tables. Conveniently located along I-74, the hotel is near the University of Illinois, Marketplace Mall, and many popular restaurants. Next, we developed the Quality Inn in Evansville, Indiana, which opened in January 2000. This hotel includes a heated indoor pool and whirlpool, fitness center, expanded meeting room, and complimentary hot breakfast. Room selections include whirlpool bath suites, king leisure suites, and standard doubles. Nearby attractions include Oakland City University, New Harmony State Historic Site, and Holiday World. Based on the success of these properties, we built a Baymont Inn & Suites in Evansville, which opened in January 2001, and was recently converted to a Holiday Inn Express. It is located one mile from the University of Southern Indiana and adjacent to several restaurants, and is next to a 16-plex movie theater. It features 81 rooms and suites with granite countertops, an indoor heated pool and whirlpool, fitness center, meeting room, and complimentary hot breakfast. In 2005, we constructed a Hampton Inn in Litchfield, Illinois. This hotel is a two-time recipient of Hampton’s most prestigious honor, the Lighthouse Award, which it won in 2007 and 2008. This award places the Litchfield Hampton in the top 5% among all 1,600 Hampton’s nationwide in terms of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction scores. It was the only Hampton in the State of Illinois to have won this award. In addition to the Lighthouse Award, the hotel has also earned 6 consecutive “outstanding” ratings on Hampton’s semi-annual brand inspection. It features 64 rooms & suites, along with a complimentary hot breakfast, indoor heated pool and whirlpool, fitness center, and meeting room. Route 66 is a popular tourist destination and it just seconds from the property. Hotel Ventures Management recently built another Hampton Inn located in Lincoln, Illinois, which opened in June 2008. This Hampton has 64 rooms and suites, as well as an indoor pool and whirlpool, fitness center, meeting room, and complimentary hot breakfast. Located along I-55, the hotel is next to several popular restaurants. It is also near Historic Route 66, Lincoln College, and Lincoln Christian College. Our convenient location allows your guests to be centrally located around major cities, including Chicago, Bloomington, Peoria, Springfield, and St. Louis. Our most recent project includes a partnership with Johnson Properties of Fairview Heights, IL. Together, we built a 77-room Hampton Inn in Columbia, Illinois, which opened in August 2008. As an investor in the project, Hotel Ventures manages the day-to-day operations, sales, and personnel. The new hotel is located near I-255, and is next to The Falls meeting & banquet facility. It features a complimentary hot breakfast, indoor heated pool, expanded meeting room, and fitness room.
