Nothing like this has ever happened at Elves Manor Guest House.

Since last Thursday, these lovely and tenacious women have made their "home" in the oversized garage of Elves Manor and worked day and night to create seven quilts (one for each of them). They went upstairs (to the part of the house where most people stay) only to sleep and eat.

The first quilt is finished!

A gift for Elves Manor Guest House from last week's guests! When Nancy was in the garden early one morning, she snapped this photo of three newly emerged mushrooms. She then not only had the photo printed, but found the perfect frame. What a perfect new addition to the living room mantel.

Currently in residence is a vivacious young lass from San Francisco. She is visiting for the first time with her parents. However, it is not exactly her first time here.The innkeeper learned today that this darling child was conceived at Elves Manor Guest House :-)

The note written today in the guest book made the innkeeper cry.

"I see by browsing the comments that everyone loves Elves Manor. I have something a bit different to say. This place is more than good food, coziness, spotless cleanliness, thoughtful details. There is a spirit here - a comfort, a peacefulness, a sense of peace and refuge, that is more than all your thoughtful details. Someone, or many someones, have loved this place. There is a sense that there is a spirit of joy here...of sharing something special.

It's in the middle of fly-over country, but St Louis is well worth a landing, says long-term resident Mark Sutherland.
