Apparently, our campground’s pond doesn’t have a closing date when you’re a kid! ❤️
Who needs a heated pool when you have an adventure and absolutely ZERO concern for water temperature?

Rolling into fall 🍂 🍁 we’ve got one of our favorite group of frequent camping families claiming all the back sites by the pond & trails entrances this weekend.

Can’t wait to see all the kiddos catching frogs 🐸 , playing baseball ⚾️ in the meadow & rounding out the night with a 🔥 campfire!

Bringing out the best of the outdoors is a passion of ours here at the campground, but in building our campground retirement plan from the ground up we seriously neglected a few things: taking time off to explore beyond our land and see family.

It’s been 8 years since we took time off to make it back to my hometown of Boulder City, Nevada (home of the Hoover Dam) and to my grandparents place in Kolob Utah (an area of Zion).

This past week has been a beyond sweet boost as we enjoyed family for my grandpas 83rd birthday. We packed the tents with our family of 7, got to love on new babies in the family, take in the scenery, laugh, eat a lot, daily the kids had their shoes full of sand (and pants, and hair) and ran & played with their cousins until they crashed. Though we were certainly short some in the family whom we sorely missed, our hearts our full.

As we ready to head back to life in our little slice of heaven in Missouri, please enjoy some pictures of the place I used to call home and enjoy camping all throughout my childhood. I was truly blessed that I got to grow up with such amazing scenery and an amazing family who stuck with me during my troublesome teenage years.

Keep exploring, keep some calendar time free to get to the people and places you love most because time flies!

An egg-cellent 🍳 update to our free range, organic eggs available to guests.

Our ducks hatched this past spring have begun laying, so your eggs will now have surprise duck 🦆 eggs 🥚 in each carton!

Duck egg facts:

👉🏾One duck egg has about 9 grams of protein, compared to 6 grams in a standard chicken egg. 💪
👉🏾 The yolks are packed with choline for brain health and antioxidants like lutein for your 👁️ eyes.
