One of the best things about staying at Woolverton Inn is having quick access to the D&R Canal Towpath. Hop on a bike and you’re in downtown Lambertville in under 3 miles on a flat and shaded path running alongside the Delaware river. Cross the bridge and you’re in New Hope.

The towpath itself has been here for centuries. The Delaware and Raritan Canal was completed in 1834, and what were once paths for mule teams towing freight barges or railroad lines are now some of the most scenic trails in the region.

Named for Primrose Woolverton, this cozy queen room is wrapped in a hand-painted mural and looks out over rolling hills, gardens, and pasture. Just across the hall, your own private bath with a spa shower is waiting for a slow morning.

Tucked away on our third floor, Primrose’s Room is a quiet little hideaway made for two, and it’s especially lovely when the leaves start to turn outside the window 🍂

“My daughter and son-in law had their wedding at the Inn on June 13th. We had the Inn for the entire weekend beginning with the rehearsal dinner, welcome party the night before and the ceremony and reception the following day. The owners were very attentive; the staff, servers, bartenders and event planner all did an amazing job. The food was excellent at all three events and a delicious breakfast served both days. We rented all the rooms/cottages and the accomodations were all very unique and welcoming. There were at least 100 attending the welcome party and 170 plus at the tented reception. The weekend could not have been any more perfect!! Thank you to everyone at the Woolverton Inn for making it such an amazing, and unforgettable event.” - Ann Howley

One day you’re a historic inn and restaurant, the next you’re a photoshoot location for Free People!

Last month, the Free People team pulled onto our property for their Spring 2027 photo shoot, and it turns out Woolverton makes for quite the backdrop! Watching the day come together was amazing... the stylists, photographers, and supporting crew moved with total focus while the grounds looked as alive as we’ve ever seen them.

Some summers are so full of love, and this certainly was one of them. We’ve watched couples say their vows in the gardens, dance under string lights in the tent, and start their marriages surrounded by dear family and friends.

Did you know Julia and Paul Child got married at the Woolverton Inn on this day, September 1st, in 1946? Here’s a sweet capture from their intimate wedding ceremony, seated in front of our Manor House, toasting ch*****ne after exchanging vows.

Julia Child was famous for making French cuisine accessible to American audiences. She was one of the first women to host her own televised cooking show, paving the way for generations of cooking shows to come. Food is a love language, and Julia Child demonstrated this beautifully.
