The peace you feel waking up to breakfast at Woolverton Inn is hard to put into words, but we’ll try.

On a beautiful morning, the breeze comes up from the river and the shadows shift as the tree branches move. Birds are already up. On the veranda, you can watch the property come to life: the lawn, the gardens, the quiet of a place that feels tucked away. When the three-course breakfast comes out, there’s no reason to rush. The menu rotates, so there’s always something new, but the pace is always the same. Unhurried. On the veranda, your thoughts finally slow down and inspiration has room to come in.

May is National Preservation Month, and we’re honored to have been recognized in a recent article by .

Preservation, to us, isn’t about freezing time. It’s about honoring the people and craftsmanship that came before us and ensuring this place remains for generations to come. Over the years, we’ve restored and repurposed each structure on the property while keeping the original character intact. The 1792 Manor House remains the heart of the inn, while the 1830s barn has been transformed into Northridge Restaurant. And, more recently, our 1850s Carriage House has been completely renovated to include two cottages that can comfortable accomodate up to four guests.

We’re proud of how far this property has come, and equally committed to what comes next. Historic preservation is a long game, and we’re in it for the long haul.

Happy Memorial Day from Woolverton Inn and Northridge.

This place has its own ties to the men and women who shaped this country. Our original owner, Lieutenant John Prall Jr., fought in the Battles of Germantown, Monmouth, and Millstone before purchasing this land in 1792 and building what would eventually become the inn you visit today.

On a day set aside to remember those who served, we’re proud to sit on ground with that kind of history. Wishing you a meaningful holiday with the people you love.

Named for Amelia Prall, wife of Revolutionary War veteran and original property owner, Lieutenant John Prall Jr., this suite has roots that run deep. Appointed with the warmth of an early 20th century English manor, a later chapter in this home’s long story, the suite features a king bed, double whirlpool tub, gas fireplace, and sweeping views of the front lawn, pasture, and gardens.

The Sojourn Loft is our most private retreat.

A two-level, travel-themed suite tucked into the grounds of Woolverton Inn, cathedral ceilings soar above a king bed dressed in fine linens, while the loft beckons with a spacious jetted tub and hammock for total relaxation. A hand-painted fireplace and private patio with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape complete the escape. Some stays you remember forever, and this is one of them.
