⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review – Little Sand Lodge

"Stop looking and start booking:) Little Sand Lodge is the best! Absolutely everything we were looking for and more. Plenty of space, super clean, with all the amenities. Really easy check in and such a great value for the comfort. Also, we stayed on such a beautiful fall weekend-pictures cannot do it justice. Thanks for the memories!"

We got so many great photos from guests this year that we couldn’t fit them all in one post. Here’s round two, thanks again for sharing these with us!

Thanks Clint! Glad the whole family had fun!

One of the best parts of this job is when guests send us photos from their stay. 2026 has been a great year at O’Connell Cabin Co., so we wanted to share some of our favorites. Thank you for sharing these with us!

New on the blog: what winter looks like at our cabins in Stone Lake. Snowmobile trails close by, two cabins with wood-fired saunas, and an easy drive up to Hayward if you're heading to the Birkie.

Give it a read and let me know if you have any questions about winter stays. Happy to help you figure out which cabin fits your group.

Winter is coming. Get your sleds ready 🛷❄️

Little Sand Lodge and the Cattail Chalet, Cabin & Cottage are all just minutes from the trail junctions, with 600 miles of trails right around us. Check the map: you're basically on the trail system.

Sled all day. Sauna, fire, and a warm bed at night.
