Pauls Valley City Lake - This lake is located just north of E. County Rd. 1550 Northeast of Pauls Valley. Pauls Valley City Lake offers Fishing, Boating, Hunting, Camping, and Swimming. Campgrounds include full-hookup RV sites as well as primitive sites. A Pavilion, as well as Restrooms and Showers are available in the campgrounds. There are boat docks and ramps located near the campgrounds with n

earby parking for your vehicle and trailer. Lake R.C. Longmire - This lake is located approx. 1 mile south of State Highway 19 on N. County Rd. 3340 between Pauls Valley and Stratford. Longmire offers great Fishing, Boating, Hunting, Camping, and Swimming. Restrooms and showers are available as well as a pavilion located near the swimming area. There are boat docks and ramps located on both the North and South sides of the lake with plenty of parking nearby. Permits for camping may be purchased from the lake host. A camping permit includes hunting, fishing, and boating for the duration of your stay for those staying in the site. Without camping, Annual Permits for Hunting, Fishing, and Boating may be purchased from a lake host, Pauls Valley Police Department, or Pauls Valley Walmart. These permits are valid at both lakes.

We have had complaints from hunters. So as a reminder when you are purchasing a hunting permit make sure to view the rules as well.

No permanent stands, feeders, cameras. This means what ever you use for hunting has to leave with you every day. No deer stands set or feeders set so that the area cannot be hunted by others. All city property is public use.

ATV,s are not allowed off of maintained roads. This includes side by sides, four wheelers, and motor cycles.

Vegetation shall not be cut down or trimmed.

Our lake host is conducting a controlled burn today on the North side of Longmire Lake. The area being burned is the day use area between the swimming area and the boat ramp. This should help clean the dead fall, leafs, and other debris from that area while promoting healthier grass growth. If you see the smoke out here there isn’t anything to be alarmed over. The wind is blowing directly towards the water making today a great day to conduct this burn!

Impressive how we can have that many people from the campgrounds to swim area on the Fourth of July and not have much of a mess to clean up. Great bunch of good clean and considerate people. That’s why we are getting more popular and have a good reputation all over the country.

Great people at both packed lakes over the weekend. No problems and almost zero trash left behind. Lots of first timers too. Hope you all had a great holiday weekend.
