Nearly two years after Hurricane Helene, the rebuilding continues across Sugar Mountain and the surrounding High Country. Road repairs and cleanup are still underway, and many say the full recovery will take years.

But progress is happening. New improvements are taking shape throughout the area, and we look forward to sharing more of them in the months ahead as the fall and winter seasons knock on the door.

Along the way, we’ve also had the pleasure of meeting some incredible local small-business owners. As we grow this page and focus more on Sugar Mountain, we hope to showcase their stories, their businesses, and the people helping this community move forward.
