🌿 From rice fields to one of the most beautiful sculpture gardens in the country, Brookgreen Gardens has a fascinating history!

Did you know the land that is now Brookgreen Gardens was once home to three plantations: Laurel Hill, Brookgreen, and The Oaks? Today, visitors can explore the same historic grounds while discovering incredible sculptures, centuries old live oaks, historic cemeteries, and beautiful gardens.

Brookgreen Gardens was transformed in the 1930s by Archer Milton and Anna Hyatt Huntington, who created a garden and sculpture museum that would become one of the most unique attractions along the Grand Strand. Anna Hyatt Huntington's love of sculpture and the natural landscape helped shape the gardens into what visitors experience today. 🦌🌳
