The OA did it again another great weekend with service and fun. We poured 3,000 lbs of concrete for future projects, put up fans in the dinning hall and staff lounge, and even managed to make most of the campsites ready for the camping season. What great work.

Not only did they hike 17 miles, they got to SIGN THE FOOT!

Do you know a Scout who’s ready to grow as a leader?

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) at Camp Shenandoah is one of the most impactful experiences a youth can attend — helping Scouts build confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and leadership that lasts far beyond camp.

During this immersive week-long course, participants learn:
✔️ Communication skills
✔️ Team building
✔️ Goal setting & planning
✔️ Problem solving
✔️ Conflict resolution
✔️ Ethical leadership
✔️ How to lead themselves and others

NYLT uses hands-on experiences, patrol teamwork, and outdoor adventure to teach leadership in a way that’s fun, engaging, and unforgettable.

If you have a Scout in your troop, crew, or family who’s ready for the next step, encourage them to attend NYLT this summer.

Camp Shenandoah
July 26–31, 2026

Participants must be:
• At least 13 years old
• First Class rank (Scouts BSA)
• Approved by their Scoutmaster or Crew Advisor
