Hello Campers! The online portal is now available for reservations! It is easier to navigate, and the map will pop up and is easy to read. You may now schedule your camping dates from April 1-September 14, 2026.

Attention Campers and neighbors. A good-sized Black Bear was spotted about a mile from Dewatto River Campground. Please keep your dogs on a leash and nearby. Be safe.

PRESS RELEASE
Date: July 9, 2025, 9 AM
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Due to the level of fire activity in Mason County, effective immediately all outdoor burning including campfires, charcoal briquettes and w**d burning using torches are restricted until further notice. Please note these restrictions do not apply to pizza ovens, smokers, indoor fireplaces that have a ¼ inch metal screen over their chimney, propane fire pits or propane bar-b-ques. Your cooperation in keeping Mason County fire safe is appreciated.

This is the most current as of today for the Burn Ban in Mason County. NO CAMPFIRES unless Propane. 911 will be called and you will have to leave. Be thoughtful and smart. No campfires.

Hello Campers and Port of Dewatto Districts! Our first week of camp has come and gone. Some beautiful weather and some not so great! But Camping is Camping no matter the weather! Not to mention you are at a primitive campground with trees and a creek and river and even have WIFI! So that is awesome in itself!

Guess what today is? Yes! It is the opening day for the Dewatto River Campground! Thank you to all that have reserved so far. We look forward to seeing you and welcome all others that are planning on coming later on! As always, remember this is a FAMILY campground. Be respectful of your neighbor and keep the noise down after 10:00 PM during the week and Midnight on the weekends. No exceptions. All pets must be on a leash, clean up after them. DO NOT:
Throw dog f***s in the fire pits
Do NOT throw, Diapers, Cans, or bottles in the fire pits.
There is no trash pickup at the campground.
You bring it in, YOU take it out.
When there is a burn ban, you will be notified, and you must comply or will be asked to leave. 911 will be called. All fines are responsibility of the campers. You will not be asked back to our campground.
Propane will be allowed during Burn Bans. There will be 6 porta potties by the end of June. At this time, we have one and will order another next week when the campground starts to fill in more.
The campground coordinator, Joe will be around to check on campers regularly. If you have an issue and he is not there, please text or call me. Jeana-360-471-0361. Thank you for choosing Dewatto River Campground and Happy Camping!
