There is more going on at The Inn Liberty Farms Alaska than can be seen from the Talkeetna Spur Road. Venture to investigate the unique and truly fine dining experience available known as "Farm to Table." Hostess, Linda Peters, is a long time Talkeetna Villager. Many do not recall that before her beloved passed, they were a primary force who acted after 9/11 to build Cellular compatible 911 call centers in Alaska. She is an excellent employer as she is a neighbor and a farmer.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

🐾 Did you know sled dogs competed at the 1932 Winter Olympics?

In Lake Placid, New York, dog sled racing was featured as a demonstration event, with 12 teams from the United States and Canada competing over two days.

One of the competitors was the legendary Leonhard Seppala, famous for his role in the 1925 serum run to Nome, Alaska. He finished second, behind Canadian musher Émile St. Godard.

And here’s something interesting: not all the dogs were Siberian Huskies! Teams included different types of sled dogs and crossbreeds.

Although no official Olympic medals were awarded, sled dog racing had its moment on the Olympic stage!

Would you like to see sled dog racing return to the Winter Olympics? 🐺
