There’s something about late-summer flowers that feels a little different.

The colors deepen, the dahlias seem determined to put on their best show, and every bouquet feels like a reminder to enjoy what’s blooming while it’s here.

These were gathered from the farm and brought inside simply because they were too beautiful not to.
Sometimes that’s reason enough.

There’s something about golden hour on the farm.

The work slows down, the light gets a little softer, and for a few minutes you can simply stand back and appreciate what has grown.

Seeds that went into the ground months ago have become rows of color. Empty spaces have filled in. And somehow, another season is already beginning to shift.

These are the evenings that make us want to linger just a little longer.

Sometimes it's okay to stand apart from the crowd.

A few weeks ago, this field was filled with sunflowers reaching toward the sky. Then the storms came through, and the season changed much faster than we were ready for.

And somehow, among all those tired and battered stems, there is this one.

Still blooming. Still reaching for the light. Still completely unconcerned that everyone around it is doing something different.

Maybe there's something worth remembering in that.

There are beautiful things all around us. Sometimes we just have to look a little harder to find them.

Does anyone else keep fresh eucalyptus in their shower?

Around here, we call them mindful showers.

A little fresh eucalyptus, warm steam, and a few quiet minutes to slow down before stepping back into the day.

Sometimes the smallest rituals are the ones that make home feel a little more special.

And when you grow the eucalyptus yourself, even better.

Sometimes you just have to gather what the season gives you.

Jewel-toned zinnias, celosia and veronica, tucked together with fragrant eucalyptus, all grown right here on the farm.

Late summer has a way of turning up the color, just as the season begins reminding us that it won't last forever.

For now, we're enjoying every stem.

Mother Nature, we weren't quite ready for sunflower season to end yet.

Last night's storm had other plans.

We woke up this morning to a field that looked very different than it did yesterday. So many of our sunflowers are down, bent, tangled and lying across the field after the storm moved through.

It's a hard sight after watching them grow from tiny seeds into this beautiful field.

But a few are still standing, reaching for the light.

And somehow, that feels like a pretty good reminder.

Some days remind us that not everything in life unfolds the way we'd hoped.

Thankfully, sunflowers ask very little of us.

They show up. They reach for the light. And they quietly remind us to do the same.

Maybe that's one of the reasons we love growing them.

Sometimes the best lessons don't come from people. Sometimes they bloom in a field.

Every week, the fields tell us a different story.

We're sharing This Week's Harvest—a small collection of hand-tied bouquets created from what is naturally at its peak this week.

Each bouquet is harvested fresh, thoughtfully arranged, wrapped by hand, and delivered right to someone's doorstep.
