The strongest pull for our love, the build of our cabin, and our continued return to this incredible region is not only the endless vistas of breathtaking beauty, but the powerful circle of life that weaves through Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Tetons, and even our own backyard at Moonrise Ridge.

Our family never tires of the early morning drives and quiet evening treks in hopes of catching a glimpse — or perhaps the perfect photograph — of the region’s original inhabitants, the wildlife that make this place so magical. From elk moving through the valleys at sunrise, to moose in the willows, bison roaming the plains, soaring eagles, coyotes calling in the distance, and even the rare sighting of wolves or grizzlies, every experience feels humbling and unforgettable.

This land reminds us that nature still reigns here. It slows you down, grounds you, and reconnects you to something far greater than yourself. Generation after generation, these mountains, rivers, forests, and creatures continue to call us back home.

Moonrise Ridge is in the making!

Chanelle and General Joe are building their family dream vacation home in one of the most breathtaking places on earth—set on a ridge in Tetonia, Idaho, just 45 minutes from beautiful Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Chanelle has been vacationing near the Tetons and Yellowstone since she was 18, always dreaming of creating a home out West. Over the years, she has shared that love with Joe, their children, and grandchildren—each of them falling in love with the magic of this region.

Now, the dream is becoming reality.

Follow along as Moonrise Ridge comes to life, and discover the endless reasons this tri-state region of Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana continues to call them back: majestic mountain views, winding rivers, canyons, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, skiing, fly fishing, kayak, river rafting and unforgettable wildlife sightings—grizzlies, bison, elk, deer, coyotes, wolves, and so much more.

This home will eventually be offered as a luxury vacation rental, sleeping 12–14 guests, with bookings expected to open for Spring 2027. Moonrise Ridge will offer more than a stay—it will include concierge-style trip planning to help guests create an unforgettable mountain getaway.

Golden hour at Moonrise Ridge.
A place where the day begins with the sunrise spilling across the Tetons… and ends with the sunset glowing behind the Big Hole Mountains, reflecting its colors across the peaks. Then, just when you think the beauty of the day is over, the moon rises over the Tetons and transforms the landscape all over again.

There are very few places where you can experience all three — sunrise, sunset, and moonrise — from one extraordinary property. Truly a magical and unforgettable setting that has captured our hearts for decades.
