🏝️ Kibbe's Island Campground – Important Water Shutoff Notice, 2027 Season Update & Some Exciting Changes! 💧
Hey everyone!
I wanted to give everyone a heads-up that we will be shutting off the campground water no later than October 27th.
First, I want to sincerely apologize for having to shut the water off earlier than I originally planned. I know some of you were hoping to enjoy a little more time at the campground before winter, and I truly hate having to cut that short.
Unfortunately, due to the injuries I've been dealing with, I have surgery scheduled for October 27th and will be facing a lengthy recovery. With the limited help we currently have available, I need to make sure everything is properly taken care of and winterized before my surgery.
This wasn't an easy decision, but I need to take care of my health so I can recover, get back on my feet, and be ready to make next season even better.
🎉 Now, some good news for the 2027 season!
There will be NO increases in seasonal lot license fees for 2027!
We understand that the cost of just about everything continues to rise, and we want to do our part to keep camping affordable for our families.
There may be a small adjustment to our electricity rates, depending on what the electric company charges us. We will do our best to keep any increase reasonable and share more information once we have the final numbers.
🏝️ Kibbe's Island Campground Is Becoming River Drifter Island Campground!
As many of you already know, we're working on some exciting changes!
Kibbe's Island Campground has been part of our family for generations, and that history will always mean something special to us. We're proud of where we came from, and we're even more excited about where we're going.
River Drifter Island Campground is the next chapter in that family tradition. Same beautiful island, same family ownership, and the same love for camping and the river, just with a fresh name, new ideas, and a vision for the future!
❤️ We need your help with one important thing!
As we continue transitioning from Kibbe's to River Drifter, we'll be moving our campground updates, announcements, events, and important information over to our new page.
Please head over to our River Drifter Island Campground page, give us a follow, and invite your camping friends to do the same!
👉 River Drifter Island Campground
We don't want anyone missing important announcements as we move away from the old Kibbe's page.
We're not forgetting our roots. We're building on them, with the hope that this campground will continue bringing families together for generations to come.
Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We know this season has had its challenges, but we're working hard to make the future of this island something special.
From Kibbe's Island Campground to River Drifter Island Campground, thank you for being part of our story! ❤️
Stay safe, enjoy the beautiful fall weather, and remember...
