The local clubs here in the Yoop have been working overtime to get the trails dialed in and ready for the season. The trails are looking fantastic—now we just need Mother Nature to deliver the white gold! Word on the street is we might even get a little snow tease this coming week. ❄️❄️

🚨 IMPORTANT TRAIL 8 CLOSURE UPDATE DUE TO AGATE FALLS BRIDGE – BRUCE CROSSING TO KENTON 🚨

The Michigan DNR has confirmed that the section of Trail UP8 between Bruce Crossing and Kenton, crossing the Agate Falls Trestle, will remain closed for the 2026–2027 snowmobile season due to ongoing structural concerns.

✅ The good news: A reroute will be available using portions of Trails UP3, UP150, and UP107.

Sno Valley Riders is working with the DNR to get reroute signage in place and minimize the impact on riders and our surrounding communities.

Repairs to the trestle are currently expected in 2027.

Please plan your rides accordingly, follow posted signs, and help spread the word!

People often tell me I only love winter because I own a resort in the snow belt, but my love for the season goes back much further! I officially took over Krupp’s Resort on February 9, 2018, but I was participating in polar bear plunges and playing in the snow long before becoming an owner of Krupp’s Resort.
If you look closely behind me, the Portage Lift Bridge is back there somewhere! Haha ❄️
