Meals are served from 4:30 p.m. -5:10 p.m. Starting September 14, 2009, the Tomah Community Dinner has provided free, nourishing meals once a week to individuals and families in our community who are hungry for food and fellowship. The Community Dinner not only serves the community, but will also be a community effort. Organizers are members of several churches in Tomah and the invitation is open
to “everyone” to participate. Each week the sponsoring group is responsible for shopping, preparing and serving the meal. The Community Dinner is held every Monday evening at the Tomah Masonic Lodge #132 at 520 E. Saratoga Street in Tomah. The first dinner was held on September 14, 2009. Currently, there are over 400 families in the Tomah area who are eligible to receive food from the Tomah Food Pantry. The need for a helping hand exists in Tomah. By providing these neighbors one meal a week, organizers hope to stretch the families’ limited dollars to help them make it through their month. Our Mission: The mission of the Tomah Table is to be a resource for the relief of hunger in our community - not simply or only the hunger of the belly, but also as importantly, the hunger of the heart.
