A stay at The Russ House places you in the heart of Tombstone Arizona, within a 1-minute walk of Historic Allen Street and 5 minute walk to the Tombstone Courthouse, one of the first Arizona State Parks. This hotel is 0.7 mi from the Boothill Cemetery and literally across the street from the Good Enough Mine Tour. We offer 5 Standard Rooms and 1 Master Suite for your selection. All our accommodations in have queen beds with Serta mattresses for your comfort. All of our rooms are air conditioned for your comfort during the Arizona summers. All of the rooms are double occupancy (the suite can sleep 4, 2 on a open up couch for a small additional price of $10 per person).

🎃👻 Halloween on Allen Street was a real treat!

What a fun night in Tombstone! From the creative costumes to the happy trick-or-treaters strolling the boardwalks, Allen Street was full of Halloween spirit—and plenty of candy! 🍬🤠

A big THANK YOU to the businesses and everyone handing out treats who helped make the evening so special. Seeing families enjoying our historic town together made it a Halloween to remember! 🧡

Guest Review:
We wanted to experience a night in the old west style, but were worried about not having modern amenities. The Russ House exceeded all expectations! In fact, the shower was amazing! Probably the best I’ve ever seen in any 5 star hotel! The AC did an excellent job of keeping us totally comfortable.

Longhorn Restaurant for breakfast! Delicious cooked to order breakfast was conveniently located across the street.

Bring the kids in their favorite costumes for an evening of treats and Tombstone charm. Participating businesses will be handing out candy from 6–8 PM on Halloween night, October 31! 🍬🍫

Gather your little ghosts, cowboys, witches, and superheroes, and make some sweet memories along historic Allen Street. You never know what characters you’ll meet along the way!

On This Day in History: October 26, 1881
The “Gunfight at the OK Corral” took place in Tombstone, Arizona. This famous gunfight was between the lawmen Earp brothers (Wyatt, Virgil and Morgan) with Doc Holiday and members of the Ike Clanton Gang (Billy Clanton, Frank and Tom McLaury) who were called The Cowboys. The Cowboys were outlaws associated with cattle rustling and robbery acts throughout the area.

The actual gunfight occurred at about 3:00pm and is believed to have lasted only 30 seconds. Clanton and the McLaury brothers were killed while Virgil and Morgan Earp were injured, as was Holliday. Wyatt Earp was the only one who walked away unscathed. The Cowboys swore revenge and Virgil Earp was maimed on December 28, 1881 in an assassination attempt by the outlaws and Morgan was assassinated three months later.

Wyatt Earp, now a Deputy U.S. Marshal, began what is known as the “Earp Vendetta Ride” where he sought revenge and retributions against the outlaw group.
