Planning a romantic getaway on the Gulf Coast? 💕
It started with a message from a guest. He was planning something special for his partner and wanted experiences — not just restaurant recommendations. So we put together a list. A really good one.
Because that's what we do. We're not just handing you keys and wishing you luck — we're locals who actually know this place, and we love helping our guests make memories that last way longer than the trip.
Sunset sails. Horseback riding into the Gulf Coast sky. The world's most fun date night block in St. Pete. Kayaking through mangrove tunnels. Oh — and our very first guests ever didn't even know they were staying with us. A family had secretly arranged it as a surprise after a proposal. We set up the balloons, the champagne, the banner. She said yes. 🥂

🌅 Introducing: Sunday Sunsets
Every Sunday for the next 52 weeks, we're sharing a sunset from our little corner of the Gulf Coast — because no two are ever the same.
We kicked off this idea the best way possible: Memorial Day weekend at Sunset Beach with good friends, a cloudy sky that refused to cooperate, and absolutely zero regrets. That's the thing about Gulf Coast sunsets — even when they don't perform, they still put on a show.

#2 Best Beach in Florida is basically our backyard. 🌅
Congratulations to our beloved Treasure Island — we couldn't be prouder to call this place home and share it with our guests every single day.
Funshine Sunset Beach is directly across from this beach. Funshine Pointe Capri is two blocks away. Just saying. 😄

We've noticed something funny. 😄
Two of our recent guests said almost the exact same thing — without knowing each other.
One wrote: "My only regret recommending this place is it may become too popular to book."
Another wrote: "I don't want to give too much away... I'd like it to stay a secret."
We're not sure whether to be flattered or concerned. 😄
Sunset Beach is one of Florida's most beautiful hidden beaches — uncrowded, unspoiled, and apparently a secret our guests are trying very hard to keep.
We're not telling anyone. 🤫🌊

I need a drink after what I just did to our page. 🍸

After years as Funshine Properties we are officially rebranding to... Funshine Getwaway.

Yes. With two w's. Because apparently when you're this excited about a rebrand your fingers get ahead of you. 🤦‍♀️

The CORRECT name is Funshine Getaway — which you can find at funshinegetaway.com, on our email, on our signs, basically everywhere except apparently our own page for the next 60 days.

We're blaming the Gulf Coast heat. 🌞

Same great properties. Same Nancy and Evan. Same dolphins. Just a temporarily misspelled page.
