Little Bluff Inn is a small, “cottage-style” hotel, and owners Ashley and Aaron Tappendorf strive to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Whether you’re seeking a nature adventure, planning a romantic getaway, or visiting Southwest

Wisconsin for a business trip, Little Bluff Inn is the perfect place to stay. Little Bluff Inn is located on Great River Road (Highway 35) in Trempealeau, WI. It has excellent restaurants and bars within walking distance, and quaint towns and larger cities just 5 to 30 minutes away! Little Bluff Inn is perfect for an overnight stay, weekend escape, or week-long vacation! Live music lovers, foodies, outdoor enthusiasts, cyclists – both with and without the engines — hikers, hunters, fishers… all visitors are warmly welcomed! The inn sits on the side of Little Bluff, so most of our rooms are accessed by stairs or a ramp. We also have over-the-toilet commodes, a walker, shower seats, a wheelchair, and 2 scooters available for your use. Little Bluff Inn is open year-round, with a 2-night minimum stay on weekends during peak season (May through November). We offer indoor storage for bicycles & motorcycles! We also have places to park and plug in boats and RVs. Trempealeau is a unique blend of bluffs, lakes, and rivers. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, there is something for everyone: Perrot State Park with excellent hiking and a kayak “trail”, bike trails, a beautiful winery, quaint shops, snowmobile trails, cross country ski paths, and more! One whole year at Little Bluff Inn!

A full year and four seasons of welcoming new faces, reconnecting with familiar ones, and soaking in all the blessings of hospitality and friendship that make life feel a little magical. We’re so grateful for everything this year has brought — our wonderful guests, our amazing team, our family & friends, our neighbors, and this wonderfully supportive community of people and businesses. It truly takes a village… and ours is Trempealeau! 💛

And yes — in true innkeeper fashion — this post is running about 10 days late. But that’s peak season for you… a joyful (yet crazy) marathon from May to October.

Did you know about our Gathering Room? ☕️🎲

A recent guest suggested to me we share a little more about this space! It’s a cozy spot for guests to relax, visit, play games, or make a meal on vacation.

It includes a coffee bar, full-size fridge, pizza oven, toaster/convection oven, microwave, and a closet full of games and puzzles.

This weekend, we have a group using the room for a retreat! In the past, it’s also been used for showers, yoga, and more. It’s such a sunny room & the view is beautiful!

This was such a fun project—one I’ve been wanting to tackle for a long time but kept putting off in favor of “more important” tasks. I love working with wood, and I’m really pleased with how this turned out, especially since I mostly winged it. This massive Adirondack chair just screams vacation, so be sure to snap a picture to capture your memories at the Little Bluff Inn. Oh, and don’t forget to tag us!
