Two Years. One Dream. A Whole Lot of Hard Work!

On October 14, 2024, we took a leap of faith and bought Sounds of the Sea, which we renamed Camp Trinidad. What we walked into was a park full of potential, chaos, and more projects than we knew what to do with. 😂

What followed was two years of dirt, sweat, paint-covered clothes, late nights, early mornings, and a dream we refused to give up on.

We didn’t just buy a campground. We poured our hearts into rebuilding it. From earthwork and renovations to painting, building our Camp Store, and bringing our vision for this piece of the Northern California coast to life, we did it ourselves, one project at a time.

There were days of taking reservations from our laptops and cell phones perched on paint buckets, answering guest questions in the middle of construction, and figuring things out as we went. There were exhausting days and moments when the to-do list felt endless. But there was always a reason to keep going. ❤️

We saw what this place could be, and wanted to create something special. Somewhere people could slow down, breathe in the coastal air, wander beneath the redwoods, find the ocean, gather around a fire, and make memories to take home.

Looking back at where we started and seeing what Camp Trinidad has become is something we will never take for granted.

This place is so much more than a business to us. It represents taking a chance, believing in a vision, and building something with our own two hands.

WE DID IT! #1 RV PARK IN OUR AREA ON GOOGLE! 🙏🏻

It’s hard to put into words what this means to our family.

Almost two years ago, we took a leap of faith and jumped headfirst into a business we knew absolutely nothing about. We didn’t know what challenges were ahead, but we had a vision, determination, and each other.

I’ll never forget our first day of ownership. Someone handed me the phone and said, “It’s your problem now.” 😂

And just like that, we were off!

From setting up an easy up outside to take reservations, learning new software, renovating every cabin, transforming the entire inn, and bringing this beautiful park back to life. It’s been long days, late nights, and more blood, sweat, and tears than we could have imagined.

But we did it. Together. Side by side. As a family. ❤️

On October 15th, we celebrate TWO YEARS of owning Camp Trinidad RV Resort! And to now be recognized as the #1 RV park in our area on Google means the world to us.

But this recognition isn’t just ours. It’s YOURS too.

To every guest who stayed with us, left a review, recommended us to a friend, or stuck with us through the construction and growing pains. THANK YOU!

You’ve helped us turn this place into more than an RV park. You’ve helped make it a destination where families connect, memories are made, and people return year after year.

We are still learning, still improving, and still dreaming bigger. But today, we’re taking a moment to appreciate how far we’ve come.
