Woe and Sorrow fill the Temple....

It is our sad duty to report the passing of another member of the Fraternity, Worshipful Brother Guy Paul Ashley.

W. Brother Ashley passed to the Celestial Lodge on September 1st.

Bro. Ashley was initiated an Entered Apprentice on November 15th, 1961, Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on January 20th, 1962, and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on February 24th, 1962, all in Wentzville Lodge No. 46 in Wentzville. In 1968 he moved his membership and affiliated with Moscow Lodge, and after it's consolidation became a member of Lincoln County Lodge #682. In 2004 he moved his membership to Troy Lodge No. 34 and has been active there since. At the time of his passing he was a 64yr member of the Craft, and had received his 50yr pin in 2012. Bro. Ashley served the lodges of his membership in various ways and in several roles, including as Master of Moscow Lodge in 1973.

Sadness fills the Craft of Troy Lodge, and we share our deep condolences with the Ashley Family. Sad tidings indeed, but we gladly cherish our time with Bro. Guy, his wise counsel, kind and helpful hand, and in that we look fondly on our time with him.

Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory in Troy. Visitation and Services are set for Friday September 11th, beginning at 9am, and the service itself at noon. At present there has not been a request for a masonic funeral service. If one is, notice will be posted.

Guy P. Ashley, 89, of Troy, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at SSM Hospital at Lake St. Louis, MO. It is our sad duty to report the passing of another member of the Fraternity, Brother Perry O. Cadwallader, Jr.

Brother Cadwallader passed to the Celestial Lodge on July 9th.

Bro. Perry was initiated an Entered Apprentice on February 18th, 1972, Passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on April 24th, 1972, and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on May 14th, 1972, all in Troy Lodge No. 34. Our Brother was a 53yr member of the Craft. Additionally he was a member of Richard T. Turner Lodge No. 116 in Bloomingdale, GA.

Bro. Cadwallader spent the later half of his life in Georgia and services and internment will occur there.

Sadness fills the Craft of Troy Lodge, and we share our deep condolences with the Cadwallader Family. Sad tidings indeed, but we gladly cherish our time with Bro. Perry and look fondly on our time with him.

Mr. Perry O. Cadwallader, Jr., departed this earth on July 7, 2026. Mr. Cadwallader was born in Troy, MO to Perry O. Cadwallader, Sr. and Willie Luvinia Milburn Cadwallader on July 21, 1943. He was a graduate of Buchanan High School in Troy and a graduate of Columbia College in

Happy 250th Birthday, America!

As our nation celebrates 250 years since the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence, we honor the men whose courage and conviction gave birth to the United States.

Freemasonry did not create the Declaration, nor did it speak for the Revolution. But the principles taught in our lodges—liberty, equality, morality, tolerance, charity, and the pursuit of truth—were embraced by many of the men who helped shape our nation's founding.

As America marks 250 years of independence, let us celebrate not only our history but also our shared commitment to building stronger communities, defending freedom, and leaving a better nation for future generations.
