The highway is open, and it’s a beautiful drive this time of year. Mountain weather can turn quickly in late October, so check pass conditions with WSDOT before you set out:

Highway 20 is the road to paradise, and paradise is a lot better when you’re not doing it at sixty miles an hour.

However you come at it, over Washington Pass or up and over the Loup, you end up in Twisp. Come down off the pass, stop, and let the river have an evening. Six of our rooms sit right over the water. The rest are a short walk from it, and breakfast is included either way.

The road will still be there tomorrow. 🌲

This is the best stretch of the year out here, and it’s a short one.

Come while the color is on, or come after, when it’s cold and quiet and the fire’s going inside. We’d take either.

We keep pet friendly suites! Bring the dog. Bring the muddy towel, we've seen worse.

The river path starts right out back, the valley is full of trails, and town is a short walk if you'd rather sit outside somewhere with a b**r while the dog sleeps under the table. 🐾

There's a reason people pick the small one.

It's fourteen rooms, so the person checking you in is the same person who waves at you in the morning. There are books in the lobby and pastries out early and a kitchen in your suite for whenever you'd rather cook than go out.

The river runs right behind the building. People sit out on the deck with coffee and forget what time it is, and honestly that's what it's there for.

Walk to dinner. Do your laundry. Sleep with the window open.

It's not a big place and it was never trying to be. It's just a really good one, and the people who find it tend to come back.

The color comes in along the water and it doesn't last long, which is sort of the appeal. People who come up for it tend to come back for it.

Welcome to room 204A.

Out back there's a deck with hanging chairs and the river going by underneath. Inside there's a full kitchen, full size fridge, a real stove, and your own washer and dryer.

It's the room people book when they're staying more than a night, and it's the room people wish they'd booked when they're not. 🏔️
