This was the first mosaic piece I started. I learned how to choose and cut glass, use quickset mortar and how to choose grout. I began it in February 2025 but abandoned in April when I started another project. I’m trying to limit those UFO in the back of my studio. The poppy was grouted today and hopefully it will be cleaned up and mounted on plywood in the next two weeks. I enjoy creating art so much more since my cataract and glaucoma surgeries. My confidence is back and I can enjoy making stuff again❤️

Can you believe it was 29 years ago that I took a leap of faith and firmly believed that people ….women people 😌would drive to a small town near Lake Michigan to craft for a whole weekend??? With me??!!! Well you all know the rest of the story and I started what was my very favorite project/career/dream business!! I don’t know where to begin to thank each of you that packed up your supplies and w**e to come to New Buffalo, and then Union Pier to hang out with me. I also want to thank the brave souls who hosted weekends too😂To all of you who came to make scrapbooks, jewelry, quilts, cards, knitted,🇺🇸items, painted, journaled, or just stayed in Jammies all weekend and belly laugh with your pals… I thank you with all my heart. Many of you even bought your kiddos to experience a good time. Yes, Scrap and Spa, now known as Red Arrow Hideaway will come to an end next year. I wanted to post and let you all know that if you’d like to book a weekend for one last time, 2027 winter and spring can be reserved now for non- hosted weekends. Please DM me.

There are major upgrades to our Harbert park, come and play!

Explore the park's new pickleball courts, public restrooms, ADA-accessible pathways, native landscaping, and trailhead connection to the Red Arrow Linear Park. Help us celebrate the partnerships, volunteers, and community support that made these improvements possible.
Following the ribbon cutting, stay for an evening of free live music featuring the Weko Boys at 5:30 p.m. and PT & The Cruisers at 7:00 p.m. Cousins Maine Lobster food truck will be on site, plus complimentary iced tea and cake pops while supplies last.

We’re going to shut down our outdoor hot tub until April or May. Sorry to disappoint our winter guests, but we’ve determined it too difficult to maintain in the harsh lake MI cold. We will have it back in spring 2026

Hi friends!!
It’s been a steamy Summer here in SW Michigan. As we wind down from a busy summer rental season, I want to share some changes/news for guests in 2026.

Red Arrow Hideaway will be closed in January. February through May 2026 will be available for crafters to book unhosted weekends directly through me by sending request to [email protected].

June through August 2026 will be available to book house rental and Studio will be unavailable to rent.

September-December 2026 will be available to book the house and art Studio workspace. I’d love to hear from you if you need a weekend to make some art and memories!

The fact that I’ve had Scrap and Spa, which became RAH since 1997 just astounds me. I’ve been so lucky and happy to have made so many friends while hosting at my little happy place!!! So naturally, you can guess that I have been contemplating options for 2027 and will let everyone know what the future holds for our space.
