This 1300 sqft home is built directly on the beach and is only a 2 minute drive to the $350 per night Alderbrook Resort (you can still use their bar, restuarant, spa, golf range and 18 hole course). Compared to Alderbrook, we have better view

s, more wildlife, incredible sunsets and a wonderful beach to explore. You get complimentary use of the private dock (bring your boat), paddle boards, kayaks, private hot tub, BBQ, high speed wifi; cable tv with amazon fire, HBO, Showtime, and Amazon Prime; outdoor fireplace (wood included) and board games/cards. There is no other property on Hood Canal that offers these views, sunsets, amenities and proximity to Alderbrook Resort. You are literally on the beach with the water within a few feet of the windows; it feels like you are on a houseboat.

Happy March! We’ve got news! We always look for ways to improve the experience for our guests - small or big. Every 2-3 years the BBQ’s succumb to the salty Hood Canal air, so this year it was time for new ones 🔥 Also, in the pipeline this spring we have a couple other big things: a new cooking range/oven for Walls of Glass, and new carpeting for Luxury Lookout. What’s an amenity you appreciate the most at a vacation rental, or an improvement you’d like to see us do? Let us know with a comment!

We haven’t shared much about who we - the people behind Hood Canal Resort - are. We are simply a husband and wife (now with a small family) who once got the idea of turning family property into Airbnb’s after staying trying Airbnb during our honeymoon. We manage everything about the business ourselves, and we love providing comfortable places for people to rest, relax, have special times and make memories for life. Aurora Borealis that a guest captured a couple nights ago! Did you know that fall and winter offer great night sky viewing possibilities? During clear nights you can see the milky way clearly, numerous star constellations, shooting stars, and satellites. And if you’re extra lucky, you get Aurora Borealis. Our fav place to watch the starlit skies are from the hottub 🌌

The outdoor shower of Walls of Glass, tucked next to the sauna, overlooking the fjord. Definitely one of our favorite attributes of Walls of Glass!

Super refreshing after a hot summer day, and equally enjoyable after sauna on a chillier day. Or after hottub, kayaking, or working remotely with an annoying task.. you get the point 😄

September is still a great time for all summer activities, and the outdoor shower 💦

We recently built and installed new, better kayak holders! 🙌🛶 With this new improvement it’s much easier to access the kayaks as they sit OVER the dock instead of hanging outside the dock. We have single and tandem (for two) kayaks, and paddle boards. Come have some fun on the water! The water is getting nice and warm 🏊‍♂️

Walls of Glass (sleeps 8) had a late opening for…. ✨Christmas! ✨December 23-27 (checkout 27th).

The Christmas tree is decorated and the house and all amenities are ready for a cosy, relaxing Christmas 🎄🎁✨

Happy September, folks! We are still here, haha. Posting on social media regularly is clearly not a strength of ours 😅

A good reason to post is that we have an exciting announcement to make! We just (drumroll…) added a super comfy Natuzzi queen sleeper sofa to Luxury Lookout! It was definitely time for this upgrade, and we have been waiting eagerly for its arrival.

This sofa allows for groups to stay here more comfortably as there are more sleeping arrangement options. Upstairs we have the Cali king bed and a queen sleeper sofa upstairs, and downstairs we have this awesome queen sleeper sofa and a single pullout bed. The downstairs has its own full bathroom which makes it even more comfortable.

Bring your friends or family and come enjoy! 😄
