The Fix: Take a peek behind your water heater bypass valves and under your kitchen sink for any tiny, slow drips that might have developed under constant pressure.
Pro-Tip: If your internal water pump "cycles" (bumps on for a quick second when all faucets are shut tight), it means you have a slight drop in pressure. Check your outside city water inlet valve—sometimes a microscopic grain of sand gets caught in the screen, keeping the check-valve from sealing entirely. A quick rinse usually clears it up!
