South Lake Elks Lodge of Clermont, FL to present the Annual Christmas Lighted Boat Parade on Clermont Fl’s Chain Of Lakes the first Saturday in December.

Huge props (pun intended) to a few amazing local Clermont families who started the lighted boat parade many years back and we now have a large collaboration of amazing people & boats that gather to light up the Clermont Chain of Lakes each year. This event is usually held the first Saturday in December at sunset. This event is now managed by the South Lake Elks Lodge to raise monies for children right here in our community. The Elks lodge along with so many sponsors make Christmas possible for hundreds of children. All boat parade registration donations go directly to helping children and families in South Lake County. If you are interested in donating toys/money or would like to register your boat to participate and qualify for the best decorated boat title & prizes, please visit our website www.SouthLakeElks1848.com. Hey there to my fellow boaters and floaters. We at the South Lake Elks Lodge and BoatingFor The Kids Clermont Florida have been asked several times about the boat ramp on the day of the lighted boat parade. It is closed a 1/2 day to help with staging for the downtown Clermont parade that morning. THE CLERMONT BOAT RAMP WILL BE OPEN AFTER 1pm FOR LAUNCHING. This was confirmed with the City of Clermont. Let’s get you all registered to win the best decorated boat awards & prizes.

I think the 2020 Clermont lighted boat parade was a success. Oh my goodness y’all, I’m exhausted!!! Parade prep and parade boat building isn’t for the weak lol. I hope you all that participated and all of our amazing spectators cheering everyone on from shore had a great time!!!! Any fan favorites?? Any good pics you can share??

It is going to be cold Saturday night, (in the 50s) and most likely a breeze, prepare so you are not miserably cold. 🅲🅰🅿🆃🅰🅸🅽 🅰🅽🅳 🅲🆁🅴🆆: You could potentially be on your moving boat for over 3hrs. The parade does not do rest stops or bathroom breaks, please prepare. The parade will be moving at idle/NO WAKE speed, circling Lake Minnehaha and then Lake Minneola, do NOT forget to fully prepare so you have a great time.

🌉BRIDGE ALERT🌉 2020 Clermont Lighted Boat Parade.......We get asked a lot about the bridge clearance on the Clermont chain for the boat parade. We were able to barely make it under the lowest bridge on the route last night (under Hwy 50 bridge). The clearance is about 90”. If your boat, bimini/T-top or decorations need more clearance, please plan accordingly. See you all on Saturday the 5th. Have questions please contact Mendy Bacon 407-383-7213
