An Update on Travel Restrictions for Coming to Vermont

The new travel guidance for visiting Vermont began April 9. My understanding is that the travel form will be around until June 1 when all travel restrictions are supposed to go away. Apparently that date is subject to change though.
When you arrive at the lodging site, you and anyone traveling with you must self-certify (by signing a form) that you meet one of these conditions:
a. I am traveling for essential purposes as defined by the State of Vermont; OR
b. It has been at least 14 days since my traveling party received the final COVID-19 vaccine dose, and therefore my party is exempt from the testing requirements; OR
c. I have traveled to Vermont from another state, and received a negative COVID-19 test within three prior to my arrival in the state; OR
d. I have not left the state of Vermont for any reason except essential travel in the past 14 days; OR
e. I have left the state of Vermont, and upon return to the state received a negative COVID-19 test result within three days of my return; OR
f. I have had COVID-19 within the last 3 months, have recovered, and currently have no symptoms
And you must also meet both of these conditions:
1.) Not had close contact with someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days AND
2.) Not had COVID-19-like symptoms in the past 24 hours.

We are doing our best to accommodate our customers looking for nightly stays this summer, but it is difficult. Please look to the VT travel restrictions explained at https://accd.vermont.gov/covid-19/restart/cross-state-travel before calling to make a reservation.

In general, most of our nightly sites are full for weekends until Labor day, but we get many cancellations every Friday after travel restrictions are updated. Please be patient if you leave us a message because we are overwhelmed with phone calls and are having a hard time even returning them all. Thank you for all of your support and understanding.

Leisure Travel The State of Vermont has determined that any county with less than 400 active cases of COVID-19 per one million residents is now eligible for quarantine-free leisure travel. HOW TO COME TO VERMONT FROM OUT OF STATE

You can come to VT at any time if you are in a "green county." You can come to VT after June 15th if you have completed the quarantine requirement at home and sign the appropriate form to verify. It will be posted below when it is available. Please read and understand the information below if you are planning to be here on or after 6/15 and make sure you realize you can only come if you have quarantined in your home and bring the signed paperwork.

1.) Quarantine Requirements:
Effective 6/15: "Travelers may complete either: (i) a 14-day quarantine; or (ii) a 7-day quarantine followed by a negative test - in their home state and enter Vermont without further quarantine restrictions if they drive directly from their home via their personal vehicle." 2.) Sara Alert. Vermont requires us to have all visitors sign up for Sara Alert. It will send you text messages for 2 weeks reminding you to check for symptoms. It is not a GPS tracker. Sign up here:

3.) This is the form to certify that you've quarantined, BUT IT IS NOT THE CURRENT ONE for people quarantining out of state and coming on June 15th. There will be a new one that has the new option.
