The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association is pleased to join in this state request to provide additional relief to Ohio farmers during this busy season of harvest and increased cattle movements associated with fall marketing.

Yesterday, the Ohio Soybean Association led a letter from the agriculture community to Governor Mike DeWine to direct a temporary pause in enforcement of penalties associated with dyed diesel fuel for agricultural operations during the critical harvest season. This step would build upon important steps taken last week on the gas tax to provide additional temporary fuel-cost relief for the state’s farmers. Ohio farmers are working around the clock to bring this year’s crop home. The association believes state government should do everything within its authority to help them keep operating. 🌱📝

What a fun way to support the CFAES Student Experiences Fund while honoring the 100th anniversary of Maudine the bovine homecoming queen!

In 1926, a Holstein cow, Maudine Ormsby, was selected as The Ohio State University's Homecoming Queen. Admittedly, there were some election irregularities that year -- 3,000 ballots were printed but more than 12,000 were cast -- but Miss Maudine served honorably, in addition to being an award-winning dairy cow.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of Maudine's reign, CFAES is raising funds for the college's Student Experiences Fund, which helps student explore opportunities, gain hands-on experiences and reach their full potential. Honor Maudine and help her make it from the Multispecies Animal Learning Complex to Ohio Stadium for homecoming with a gift. Help Maudine get to the 'Shoe here:
