The Farmers Market is where local and area farmers, growers, and artisans come together to sell their fresh produce, meats, baked goods, farm-fresh eggs and honey, and crafts directly to consumers. It is a place where shoppers can purchase locally sourced, seasonal produce and products while supporting their local economy.

The market is more than just a shopping destination; it’s also a place to connect with the community. It’s where you can stop and talk to our vendors and ask them about their farming practices and techniques or what they’ve been up to lately and gain valuable insight into the local food system. In addition, we often have live performances by local musicians, cooking demos, and fun activities for children.

It’s a place to celebrate our local food, where people can come together to support small businesses, connect with their neighbors, and taste and smell the flavors of the season.

The Emporia St Patrick’s Day Committee is a not for profit 501(c)3 that donates to local organizations (children, veterans, special needs & pets) in the area and organizes the Emporia St. Patrick’s Parade down Commercial St. We will be riding through the beautiful back country and streams collecting cards for the best poker hand. Stronger Than the Storm Docuseries

Join Beacon for Hope Su***de Prevention for the premiere of our docuseries featuring 10 individuals in our community who have been impacted by su***de.

The stories told by these courageous individuals allow us insight into one of Kansas’ most urgent and tragic health crises.

We hope that this series will shine a light on the difficult subject and spark dialogue about mental health, inspiring the audience to be authentic about their own mental health journeys.

Most importantly, we want to let our community know that there is HELP as well as HOPE for those at risk and their loved ones.
This event is free and open to the public.

Hispanic Heritage Month Emporia Fiesta

Hispanic Heritage Month takes place September 15 to October 15 every year, as a time to recognize and celebrate the many contributions, diverse cultures, and extensive histories of the American Latino community. And so this year Emporia, Ks. will have an opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a fiesta at Las Casitas Park.

On Sat Sept 16th, The Las Casitas Association would like to invite everyone to Las Casitas Park for a Fiesta in honor of Mexican Independence day and Hispanic Heritage Month from 12-6pm. There will be a variety of music, plenty of food vendors, singers, pinatas for the kids, contests, Zumba dancing and more. Come out and listen to the history of Las Casitas Park told by some local Emporians.

This is presented by The Las Casitas Association, The Nuestra Musica Radio Show and the City of Emporia, This event is open to the public. So come out and help us celebrate!
