Hello Red Barn campers - this page will be discontinued per request of my father, Lee Swan, as there are new owners.

But I wanted to give people a chance to have access to any photos that you may want of your family or time at the campground before the pics are deleted. This page will be deleted on Monday, September 18.

The Swan family has loved being your summer gathering place for nearly 40 years.
Safe travels and take care of your loved ones.

🎼 We came to the Red Barn, we had so much fun,
We laughed and we played and we loved everyone,
But the time has run out,
we must bid you adieu,
And as we go will be singing to you,
Singing sooooo long,
it’s been good to know you
sooooo long,
it’s been good to know you,
soooo long,
it’s been good to know you
We’ve laughed and we’ve played and we’ve thanked everyone,
But we have to be moving along,
we have to be moving alooooong!!

For all of you out there missing daily camping, or for those of you who have fond memories of the RBC, or maybe you are planning your future camping visit for the summer of 2022, we share this beautiful drone view of the Red Barn Campground created by our very own seasonal camper, Brian Janz. Thanks, Brian!

A birds-eye view of one of the friendliest, and prettiest campgrounds in northwestern Wisconsin.

RBC response to COVID-19:
It is with great sadness that we are posting at this time. Given the current situation and future projections regarding the COVID-19 virus and the guidance/directives from the Washburn County Health Dept, we have no option but to close Red Barn Campground to daily and short term camping through the 2020 season.

We are currently hoping and planning to remain open to seasonal (and maybe monthly) camping, but under very restrictive guidelines for social distancing. There will not be any activities for the 2020 season (no animals, mini-golf, wagon rides, barn rec room use, etc.) and the office will remain closed.

We feel that by limiting to only long term campers that we have more strict control over traffic in and out of RBC and social interactions within, thus preventing further spread of the disease.

We understand that this may feel to be a drastic move, but are hopeful that you understand that we are doing this out of care and concern for the health and well-being of all of our RBC friends and families. Thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe, stay healthy and we hope to see you back in 2021.

Today around noon, we had a small black bear in the campground. It ran off over in the pasture/timber by the pond.

All campers need to be "bear aware". Keep pets on leashes, keep sites free from garbage and food-stuffs and take care when out walking.
