Treat yourself to a stay at The Gathering in December, 2026 for this fun-filled, winter-themed creative get-away!

• SESSION ONE: Monday, NOVEMBER 30th - Sunday, DECEMBER 6th, 2026
• SESSION TWO: Sunday, DECEMBER 6th - Saturday, DECEMBER 12th, 2026

• CLASS: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

• CLASS FEE:
- LODGING STUDENTS = $425.00 per person + lodging - includes all meals.
- DAILY STUDENTS = $550.00 per person - includes lunches.

Set the hustle and bustle of the holidays aside while you spend five days learning with Lisa and crew. Students will enjoy at least two winter/snowman-themed projects, including one wool and one cotton!

Lisa Bongean will be the primary instructor at this retreat, guiding you through the project with her signature tips, techniques, and personal inspiration. But that's not all — we are also bringing in another talented member of the Primitive Gatherings team to teach an additional project during the retreat!

Janet Rae Nesbitt is coming to The Gathering this October!

Janet’s trademark “crazy” piecing technique (stack, cut, shuffle, and stitch it all together again) was originally created for Buggy Barn Quilt Shop. This technique promotes stitching success through an easy, forgiving method that quilters of all skill levels can master.

Choose from the following available class dates:

• SESSION ONE: Friday,October 23rd and 24th, 2026
• SESSION TWO: Monday, October 26th and Tuesday, October 27th, 2026

- Class Time: 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. CST both days

Students may work on any pattern they choose from ONE S1STER Designs during this class - please bring your own pattern and fabric. If you need fabric or other supplies, they will be available for purchase on site at Primitive Gatherings the day before class.


• A trunk show hosted by Janet will be also featured on Sunday, October 25th, 2026 at The Gathering from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

• Trunk Show Admission fee = $20.00 per person - brunch is included.

* If you are taking one of Janet's classes at The Gathering during this event, the Trunk Show fee is only an additional $10.00.

** PLEASE SIGN UP AHEAD OF TIME FOR THE TRUNK SHOW so that we have an accurate headcount for brunch.
