So it has been about 2 years since I have posted on here. These last two years after the corona virus and multiple surgeries,(and I mean multiples) 10+ procedures later and two major deaths in the last couple of months of 2023 has been one of the hardest years of my life. The last death being one of the hardest I have ever dealt with in my life. I lost my best friend, sister, confidant, partner in crime, and my apprentice, Natasha Abeyta-Tuck. She was a true part of me I will never get back. We almost lost her to covid two years ago. I'm so happy and appreciative for the time I had with her. I wish I would have had more. She was such a shinning, loving force and I I wish we grew old together like we wanted. Enjoying each other's company, eating all the foods we love, hanging out on the porch talking s**t on all the passerbys when we are old and gray. I will never find another like her. I'm glad she is not in pain anymore. Her loss has left so many in pain for not having her in our lives. My studio seems too quiet, dark and desolate without her energy in it. There are too many reminders of her in there from her clutter to unfinished projects. It is a hill I am trying to battle my way up to just get back to really working in my studio without her there with me. I am slowly getting back to it. My last surgeries in August of 2023 were extensive and I am still on the recovery road. I feel 2024 is going to be a better year than last. I made a promise to Natasha to keep moving forward and treat everyday as my last and let all that I love know it and let all that I hate know it as well. Her words, not mine. Out of her death came a beautiful tribute tattoo that completely symbolizes her and my esthetic, our love for each other and our connection we had. Luckily our husbands were never jealous of our closeness. Lol. Her husband James Tuck (Trent) is as much beloved part of the family and will always have a place in our lives. Treat the ones that mean the world to you like there is no tomorrow, because there might not be.
