One of the best parts of National Composites Week is seeing the incredible variety of projects our customers bring to life.

🛡️ Oakenhearth Armory uses our Kevlar® tape to reinforce the edges of handcrafted shields built for stage productions, film, and historical reenactments, adding strength where it matters most.

🥅 Paint by Dillon uses 2001 Resin, Kevlar®, and 2 oz. fiberglass to manufacture high-performance ice hockey goalie masks designed for protection and reliability on the ice.

Another incredible customer project we're excited to spotlight during National Composites Week!

This stunning 5/8-scale replica of a 1952 Jaguar XK-120 Roadster is a fully functional, child-sized vehicle designed for drivers up to 5 feet tall. What makes this build even more remarkable is its journey—the project began as a hand-carved Styrofoam plug in the 1980s before being put on hold for nearly 30 years. Once work resumed, the builder used Fibre Glast materials to create a commercial-grade mold and produce the finished fiberglass body.

The completed body was mounted to a custom chassis featuring modified EZ Go golf cart components, including narrowed front and rear axles, electric drive, steering, and brakes. Powered by three 12-volt batteries, the finished car reaches speeds of up to 20 mph. Even the chrome trim showcases incredible craftsmanship, with wood components wrapped in chrome vinyl for an authentic appearance.

The attention to detail has earned this miniature Jaguar multiple awards at automotive shows, proving that great craftsmanship comes in every size.

We're honored that Fibre Glast materials played a part in bringing this long-term vision to life, and we can't wait to see the builder's next project: a full-size Jaguar Series 3 XK-E body.

We are celebrating National Composites Week with photos of customer projects made with Fibre Glast composite materials.

Joseph Greenwald shared photos of this classic Corvette that has a split window conversion with flush mount glass kit installed. Joseph uses Fibre Glast composites materials in all his fiberglass projects. You can see that Joseph used vinyl ester primer from Fibre Glast due to its “unmatched no-shrink properties”.

This past Sunday Fibre Glast hosted all employees and family on the Dayton Dragons Party Deck. Beautiful weather and everyone enjoyed the chance to socialize with great food and beverage! We took the opportunity to honor the recently retired Randy Swartwout by inducting him into the Fibre Glast Wall of Fame. Randy is pictured here with Fibre Glast CEO Mark Knight.

In recognition of Randy Swartwout, Production Lead, for ten years of distinguished service to Fibre Glast from 2016 to 2026. A veteran of the United States Army, Randy led the Production Team with dependability and skill, driving substantial improvements to the company's production processes and managed its equipment maintenance program.

Randy served as the organization's trusted resource for mechanical and equipment repair, trained and developed production associates, and contributed as a member of Warehouse Leadership. His problem-solving, work ethic, and lasting contribution to the growth of this company are hereby honored with induction into the Fibre Glast Wall of Fame. Randy left behind a stronger production floor, and a better-trained crew.

We're proud to celebrate innovative customer projects during National Composites Week!

This incredible project, the "Fish Ladder," was designed and fabricated by one of our customers to make outrigger canoe (OC-6) boarding safer and more accessible. The boarding step helps paddlers of all ages and abilities re-enter the canoe from the water with greater confidence and ease.

Built using Fibre Glast materials—including 1708 biaxial/mat combo fiberglass, unidirectional fiberglass, and peel ply—the Fish Ladder is now being used by Hawaiian outrigger paddling clubs and snorkel tour operators, including one at the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort.

What we love most is the impact this project is making. From giving an 80-year-old and a 10-year-old the confidence to climb back into a canoe independently, to reducing the physical strain on snorkel guides helping guests after a day on the water, this is a perfect example of composites improving real-world experiences.

Thank you for sharing your "functional art" with us and for showing how Fibre Glast materials help bring meaningful ideas to life.
