The hotel is under new ownership and is gradually getting some improvements. We have put in new windows on the upper floor, new roof, and fresh paint on the outside. We were impressed with the size of the suites for we had never been in the Goodrich and we have lived in Vale since 1977. Three of the suites have two queen size beds, seating area, bathroom and full kitchen. Three of the suites have
the full kitchen, seating area, bathroom and one queen size bed. The bottom floor has a 5 bed plan for larger groups. Laundry facilities are available. Reservations are needed to stay . The Goodrich also houses a chiropractic office (Dr. Belnap is open only on Thursdays) and a store (Happy Horse Apparel) that sells a variety of things and some from local artists. This is a non smoking building. We do not have cable or WIFI at this time. This is a unique rental because it is not just a bed and bathroom. The rate varies from a single at $80. double at $95 (more than two nights you can deduct $10 per night) and 5 bed unit at $150 per night. There are four indoor dog kennels and it is $10 extra for your pet . It is located right in the middle of town and has off street parking in the rear. It is within walking distance of eating places such as Chavalita's, The Sagebrush, and Miracle Eatery (formerly Dairy Queen).
