Not all glisses are created equal! Don’t just play a diatonic scale. 🥴 The reason why the harp is is special is because we can create magical glisses! Set up your gliss to match your recessional by removing the 4th and 7th degree of the scale.

In this example my recessional was in C major. I removed F (4th degree) and B (7th degree) by creating their enharmonic equivalent. This creates a major pentatonic scale and sounds 👩‍🍳💋

Oh man my poor Bose S1 pro+ has been through it! I’ve had it fall out of my trunk when I opened it and now I knocked it over when it was on its stand. Thankfully it was only like 3 ft off the ground. Let’s hope it still works ok! 🤞🤞🤞

I feel bad for startling the guests but good thing cocktail hour was over and most everyone was in the reception already.

Had TWO weddings this weekend to kick off the start of my busy wedding season. Our Florida wedding season runs a bit different than others. We start in September and end around May before the 🔥🥵 and ☔️🌧️ starts.

I had lots of plans to get some great footage for content but the weather had other plans! Both ceremonies were almost rained out! Glad both ceremonies were able to proceed outside as planned!

Are you dizzy!?!?! Sorry I should’ve given you a warning! I wanted to include the time it takes to open the string and prepare the tuning pin. I try to avoid restringing all at the same time. I typically break em down by octave at a time. I did restring a harp on a house call once and it took me about 3.5 hours to do the entire harp. 😵‍💫

Who doesn’t love a good before and after?? It’s important to hear the old string vs the new string. It sounds SOOOO much better 😍😍 how long do you think it took me to replace it?

Not all dead strings are frayed! You can have an intact string and it still produce a “THUNK”.

This one is pretty obvious since you can see it’s frayed. I can often predict string breakage based on its change in tone. Can you hear it??

How often are we popping strings??? I swear I haven’t had any break in over a year. (Shh don’t come at me. I know I need to replace them.)

Here I was thinking I was barely turning my head 😂 the meta glasses are so cool but I definitely have to figure out how to record footage I can actually use. Anyone successfully use Meta glasses for content? Give me your tips!

Thoughts and prayers as I tackle restringing this abandoned and forgotten harp. I’m excited to get her ready for her new owner to play, enjoy, and love!
